Who we are
Sleigh Bell Studios is a trading name of FullDiary Limited, and FullDiary Limited is the data controller for everything described here. The full company details are on the about page.

What we collect
When you order a video we ask for:
- Ten short answers about your child: their first name and how it is said, their age, their town or area, the one thing they most want, one more thing on their list, something they have done well this year, something they have been working on, one of their favourite things, who will be with them on Christmas Day, and anything Santa should avoid mentioning.
- Your email address, so we can send you the private link when the video is ready.
- A record of your consent: which boxes you ticked, when you ticked them, and the version of the wording you agreed to.
We ask for nothing else about your child. No surname, no date of birth, no photographs, no home address and no school.
Your payment is handled by our payment provider on their own page. We never see or hold your card details.
Why we use it, and our lawful bases
- To write, make and deliver the video you ordered. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract with you.
- To use your child's details inside that video. Because these are a child's details we also rely on your consent, given as the person with parental responsibility. You can withdraw it at any time, and we will stop and delete the details.
- To keep a record of the sale. Our lawful basis is a legal obligation, because tax law requires it.
- To email you next year about new videos, but only if you ticked that box. Our lawful basis is consent, and every email carries an unsubscribe link.
Who else handles it
A small number of suppliers help us make and deliver the video. Each acts on our instructions:
- a video generation provider, which produces the picture
- a voice provider, which produces Santa's voice from the script
- a workflow provider, which holds the order while the video is being made
- a hosting and storage provider, which runs this website and stores the finished video
- an email provider, which sends you the link
- a payment provider, which takes the payment and holds the card details we never see
Some of these are outside the United Kingdom. Where that is so, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or by the UK Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We do not sell your details. This site carries no third party trackers and no advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
- Your child's answers, and the script written from them: deleted 30 days after the video is delivered.
- The finished video: deleted 90 days after it is delivered. Download it if you want to keep it.
- The order record, meaning what was bought, when, for how much and the email address it went to: kept for six years, because tax law requires it.
- Your consent record: kept with the order record, for the same period.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of what we hold
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it
- restrict or object to what we do with it
- send it to you, or to someone else, in a portable form
- withdraw your consent, which stops any further use from that point
Email hello@sleighbellstudios.co.uk. We reply within one working day and act within one month. We may ask you to write from the address the order was placed with, so that we never hand a child's details to the wrong person.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, please tell us first and we will try to put it right.
